Our December 2018 Event: An informal Christmas social with language professionals

Friday 14th December 2018 was an informal Christmas social at a stunning location: Tate Modern’s 9th floor restaurant bar with spectacular views of the London skyline.
We had an interesting mix of professions present: There were translators, language teachers and coaches, university students – studying education policy and language teaching, as well as two lovely multilingual ladies working in the financial services sector and in marketing and advertising.
What brought us all together was our love of languages, cultures and our desire to form meaningful relationships, extend our professional network and have great conversations.
We enjoyed each others’ company and were chatting on all things interpreting, translation, language teaching, coaching, education, finance, business, journalism and marketing, as well as life in London and our Christmas plans.
We also raised money for Moorfields Eye Charity, to help them continue their pioneering research work, making a difference for patients at Moorfields Eye Hospital and for people with sight problems around the world.
A massive thank you to everyone who’s attended Language Professionals’ Networking Event and supported this great cause in 2018.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and happy holidays. Hope to see you again in 2019!
